The Fire Equipment Sales division of Weis Fire & Safety was looking to expand its territory and reach more Fire Departments throughout the state. One of the key goals was to raise awareness that the company has sole rights to selling many of the fire industry's top brand products within the State of Kansas. We had to get our products infront of the Fire Departments and stand out from the competition with our publication.
To promote our exclusive products, I designed a 32-page catalog that showcased the equipment with detailed photos and elaborate descriptions. Clean layouts with generous space emphasized the quality of the products Weis Fire has to offer with an aesthetic characteristic not commonly seen in the firefighting equipment industry.
When the first catalog was delivered, fire departments across the state immediately took notice. A combined effort of social media promotion, email campaigns, and salesmen brought in over $125,000 of loose equipment sales in a 3 month period. We gained many new customers not only in Kansas, but surrounding states.
In addition to fire equipment, the catalog included products that Weis Fire & Safety manufactures, such as custom wildland fire trucks and the Draft Commander Mobile Pump Testing unit. Their presence in the publication acquired new customers for both products, and as result the company continued the publication with a new issue every quarter.
